Renyuan SUN has completed his PhD in 2005 from Tianjin University, China. He is a professor of petroleum engineering in the school of petroleum engineering, China University of Petroleum. His research interests include unconventional oil & gas development, enhanced oil & gas recovery and physical oil production. He has published more than 80 papers in reputed journals.

Daniel J. Soeder is director of the Energy Resources Initiative at South Dakota School of Mines & Technology in Rapid City, SD, USA. He joined SD Mines in May 2017 with eight years of experience as a research scientist at the Morgantown, WV campus of the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) National Energy Technology Laboratory, where he investigated the environmental risks of unconventional oil and gas development, and 18 years as a hydrologist with the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) studying groundwater contamination on the U.S. east coast, and nuclear waste isolation in Nevada. Prior to joining the USGS, he spent a decade with the Gas Technology Institute in Chicago, researching hydrocarbon production from unconventional resources. He also worked as a DOE contractor collecting and characterizing Eastern Gas Shale Project cores. He holds a BS from Cleveland State University, and an MS from Bowling Green State University (Ohio), both in geology.

Somanchi VSSNVG Krishna Murthy obtained his post-graduation (M. Sc - Mathematics) from Osmania University, Hyderabad and Doctoral degree from Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur, Kanpur. Subsequently he was offered a Post Doctoral position under Erasmus Mundus – WILL Power (Window India Learning Link Power) Fellowship ‘2010-11 ’, at Ecole Centrale Paris–France. Dr Murthy is currently working as Associate Professor & Head, Department of Applied Mathematics, Defence Institute of Advanced Technology (DIAT) Deemed to be University (DU), Pune, Department of Defence Research & Development, Ministry of Defence, Govt. of India. His research interests include Mathematical Modeling, fluid flow through Porous media, Numerical Method's for Partial differential equations- FEM, Numerical parallel Algorithms, Computational Fluid Dynamics. He is Member of many professional bodies, former Vice President and currently an executive council member of Indian Society of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics (ISTAM), I.I.T Kharagpur.He is an editorial board member of various journals including Journal of Thermal Engineering (JTE, Asia Region), also Technical Program Committee (TPC) member of various conferences in India and abroad. He has worked in the capacity of Advisory Committee / Organizing committee member and Chaired the technical sessions in an International Conferences and also delivered invited talks in various conferences / workshops.
